Become a crucial part of our supermarket team as a Butcher, where your skills in cutting and preparing meats will be essential. This position emphasizes training and support for other staff members.
We are inviting applications for a butcher with at least 7 months of hands-on experience.
Your role will involve cutting, trimming, and packaging a variety of meat products, as well as training and supervising junior butchers. You will ensure that every customer receives high-quality cuts of meat tailored to their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cut and trim carcasses and poultry
• Wrap and package meat products effectively
• Supervise and mentor new butchers and fishmongers
• Prepare special orders and standard cuts
• Engage with customers in a sales capacity
Requirements:
• Secondary school graduation certificate required
• Minimum experience of 7 months in a butchery role
• Flexibility to work early mornings and weekends
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of meat safety and processing techniques
