Location: Camrose, AB and surrounding rural communities

Position Type: Contract | $40/hour | Once weekly, for the duration of the Caring Dads program (approximately 14 weeks)

About The Role

Changing Ways:
Real Strength, Real Change initiative is seeking a Caring Dads Program Facilitator to co‑lead group programming for fathers who have struggled in their parenting. The Caring Dads program helps fathers recognize the impact of their behavior, develop empathy, and build safe, nurturing relationships with their children. Facilitators will deliver weekly group sessions following the Caring Dads curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete Caring Dads facilitator training (provided).
  • Facilitate weekly group sessions in alignment with the Caring Dads curriculum.
  • Create a safe, respectful, and supportive group environment.
  • Track attendance, and maintain open communication with program coordinator
  • Collaborate with co‑facilitators, program coordinator
  • Uphold program fidelity while responding appropriately to group needs and dynamics.
  • Participate in supervision and debrief sessions with Changing Ways staff.
Qualifications
  • Caring Dads facilitator certification (or willingness to complete training before program delivery).
  • Post‑secondary education in social work, psychology, or related human services field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in group facilitation, ideally with fathers, men, or youth, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience working in the areas of family violence, parenting, or child welfare an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to manage challenging conversations.
  • Trauma‑informed, client‑centered approach.
  • Ability to work evenings (program runs once per week in the evening).
  • Clear Police Information Check and Child Welfare Check.
