Position: NSCC Student Care Role for Professionals
Drive student success at Nova Scotia Community College as a Student Care Navigator. Focus on complex case management and guide students in navigating non-academic concerns at the Sydney Waterfront Campus.

In this vital role, you will support students through collaborative problem-solving and ensure timely access to culturally relevant services. Your knowledge in restorative practices and experience with mental health support will enhance the college community's focus on student wellbeing and academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee complex student behavioral concerns and case files

• Ensure collaboration with human rights and equity services

• Educate the campus community about non-academic policies

• Design tools and initiatives that promote student success

• Document and maintain accurate case management files

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Social Work or related professional qualification

• Three years minimum in case management or similar role

• Certification and studies in Restorative Justice preferred

• Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive mindset

• Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles essential
