Appalachian Mountain Health (AMH), a Federally Qualified Health Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated part-time physician to join our healthcare team. AMH provides comprehensive, accessible, patient-centered primary care to all, including low-income, medically underserved, insured and uninsured populations.
Provide comprehensive medical evaluations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care for patients in [specialty, e.g., family medicine, pediatrics, etc.].
Perform physical exams, review medical history, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
Work closely with nursing staff, other physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Education:
Advise and educate patients on wellness, prevention, treatment options, and follow-up care.
Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up care.
Education:
Stay current with medical advancements, best practices, and medical regulations through professional development and training.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
Valid medical license in North Carolina.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a clinical setting preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Flexible part-time hours, minimum 2 days per week.
