Practice Setting
Mix of inpatient and outpatient across two hospitals
RN and MA support; no APPs
EMRs:
McKesson and Athena
Schedule
Scheduled clinic hours plus 24-hour beeper call
Avg: 3 consults and 3 admissions/day
30-minute call response time
Cases and Procedures
Bread-and-butter GI with advanced scope work
Endoscopy, polyp excision, variceal injections
Must be proficient in ERCP, EUS, PEG, and liver biopsy
Requirements
Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Active North Carolina license required
BLS certification
Travel Accommodations
Flights, hotel, rental car, and mileage all reimbursed
Within driving distance of Asheville Regional Airport (AVL)
