How You’ll Contribute
  • Perform lab draws, EKGs, take vital signs, place patients on monitors, and transport patients throughout the hospital.
  • Determine the nature and extent of illness or injury and patient’s history from available sources.
  • Administer emergency medical care within scope of practice, including patient stabilization, monitoring, and resuscitation from the scene to the receiving medical facility.
  • Contact medical personnel, report and record observations, and follow directives.
  • Maintain equipment, restock supplies, and clean the ambulance as necessary.
  • Interview patients and/or caregivers to collect information regarding current home medications.
  • Use appropriate equipment/accessories to gather information from outside sources about home medications.
  • Contact and communicate with other care providers to facilitate processing of home medication information.

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should have a current state paramedic licence and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional requirements include:

  • Successful completion of a CAAHEP accredited paramedic education program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of field experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 60 days of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) strongly preferred.
  • Handle With Care (HWC) within 90 days of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
