More About Our Team
Join our team in a 9‑bed Intensive Care Unit where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. Our unit operates on a 2:1 ratio with two Hospitalists, a Pulmonologist and Telehealth intensivists for immediate support and manages a diverse range of diagnoses including respiratory failure, cardio‑pulmonary disease, sepsis, and diabetic keto acidosis (DKA).
Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, administering specialized treatments, monitoring critical conditions, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. This position provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where teamwork, critical thinking, and compassionate care are paramount.
How You’ll Contribute
- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
- Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
- Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
- Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
- Be responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
- Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.

What We’re Looking For
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of North Carolina or from a compact state.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
- One year of experience preferred.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
