American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of emergency department experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

• 86-bed acute care hospital Emergency Department with 16 beds
• Patient ratio of 5:1
• Patient population spans neonate through older adult
• Treats trauma, cardiac, neurological, sepsis, respiratory, GI, renal, obstetric, mental health, and substance abuse cases
• Uses adult and pediatric code carts, defibrillator, GE Cardiac Monitors (B450), ECG, and rapid transfuser
• Charts in Paragon ED EHR
• Night shift schedule 7PM-7AM
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Floating not typical but may occur

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Skilled in triage/ESI levels, rapid assessment, critical thinking, resuscitation, fast track, and splinting/immobilization
• Preferred experience with moderate sedation (adult/peds), cardioversion, and transcutaneous pacing
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration

• Facility is an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital with Chest Pain Center Accreditation
• Scrubs of any solid color are acceptable
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
