American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Mother Baby/Labor & Delivery position requiring couplet care and delivery support skills on night shift.
Requirements- Active RN license (NC or compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Couplet care experience required
- Must be able to attend deliveries, catch and recover newborns
- Experience with post c-section patient care required
- PACU or prepping experience for c-sections preferred
- 12-bed Mother Baby unit within the OB/GYN department of an acute care hospital
- 8 post partum beds with neonate and adult patient population
- Patient ratio of 1:3 couplets
- Common diagnoses include antepartum and postpartum complications, vaginal delivery, and c-section delivery
- Uses Paragon EHR
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Required to work every other weekend, possibly less
- No call requirements
- No floating requirements
- Provide nursing care across antepartum, postpartum, vaginal delivery, and c-section cases
- Team player with a flexible approach is preferred
- Any scrub color accepted, with OR scrubs available
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel assignment
- Prior permanent staff employment at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months is not permitted
- Must not be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis
