Part Time QMHP | Worth County Jail | New Site Launch Worth County Jail | Georgia New SHP Site Launching December 1, 2026 8 Hours Per Week Part Time Bring Behavioral Health Care Where It Matters Southern Health Partners is launching a new correctional healthcare program at Worth County Jail, and we’re looking for a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our team.

This is a unique opportunity to provide meaningful behavioral health services in a structured, secure environment while helping establish a new SHP healthcare program from the ground up.

With a schedule of just 8 hours per week, this role can be an excellent fit for a mental health professional looking to make a difference while maintaining flexibility in their schedule. What You’ll DoAs a QMHP, you’ll provide behavioral health services to patients within the correctional setting and work alongside the SHP healthcare team to support their mental and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities may include:

Providing behavioral health assessments and services

Identifying mental health needs and developing appropriate treatment recommendations

Providing individual counseling and supportive interventions

Monitoring patients for changes in mental or behavioral health status

Collaborating with medical and behavioral health team members

Documenting assessments, services, and patient progress

Assisting with continuity of behavioral healthcare

Supporting patients with mental health needs within a safe and secure environment

Helping establish effective behavioral health processes as part of a new site launch A Different Kind of Behavioral Health Setting Correctional healthcare gives you the opportunity to reach a population that may have limited access to consistent behavioral healthcare.

At Worth County Jail, you’ll work in a structured environment with the support of an interdisciplinary healthcare team while helping build a new program from the beginning.

One facility. One team. A meaningful opportunity to make a difference. Qualifications Candidates must meet the requirements for a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and hold one of the following credentials:

Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Licensed Professional Social Worker (LCSW)
Additional qualifications include:

Current and unrestricted professional license in the state of Georgia Current CPR certification, as applicable to discipline

Behavioral health or mental health experience

Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the healthcare team Commitment to providing compassionate, professional behavioral healthcare
