Tax Manager

We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to support a high-volume tax engagement. This long-term contract position will focus on reviewing a large portfolio of individual and S corporation tax filings prepared by senior tax staff, helping maintain accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery throughout the engagement. The ideal candidate brings strong technical tax knowledge, sound review judgment, and hands-on experience working with Intuit Lacerte in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:
• Review individual and S corporation tax returns prepared by senior tax staff to confirm accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable tax rules.
• Evaluate return work papers and supporting documentation to identify issues, resolve discrepancies, and ensure filings are ready for final submission.
• Manage a substantial review workload as part of a multi-manager team overseeing a high volume of tax engagements.
• Provide clear, practical feedback to tax preparers to strengthen return quality and promote consistency across deliverables.
• Apply careful judgment to address complex tax matters, escalate key concerns when appropriate, and help keep work on schedule.
• Use Intuit Lacerte to examine return data, validate calculations, and support an efficient review process.
• Coordinate with internal tax team members to prioritize assignments and meet agreed turnaround expectations during peak activity periods.
