We are looking for a friendly, patient‑focused and detail‑oriented Associate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for completing set processes and protocols, working cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, delivering excellent customer service and adhering to Lean processes. The role supports the team in meeting financial, clinical and service goals.
Schedule37.5‑hour work week. Monday 8:00 am–4:30 pm, Tuesday 9:00 am–6:30 pm, Wednesday 8:30–5:30 pm, Thursday 8:00 am–4:30 pm, Friday 8:00 am–2:00 pm and rotating Saturday 8:00–12:00 pm. Schedule determined by hiring manager upon hire.

Primary Responsibilities- Greets patients, family members and guests with a friendly smile
- Assists patients with signing in and completing registration
- Enters and scans patient’s demographic and insurance information into Epic
- Verifies insurance eligibility and benefit information; informs patients of insurance benefits
- Collects co‑payments and patient balances
- Answers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner; directs calls and takes messages
- Brings patients into the treatment room
- Assists physician and clinical staff by coordinating follow‑up care for patients; schedules referral appointments and obtains authorization for diagnostic testing
- Travels to other Optum locations as needed
- Cross‑trains on related functions
- Assists with other tasks as assigned

- Hourly pay range $16.00–$27.69 per hour based on full‑time employment
- High School Diploma/GED or higher
- 1+ year of computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
- 1+ year of customer service or healthcare related experience
- Ability to work 37.5 hrs/week Monday through Saturday
- 10% travel to cover other offices if needed
- Knowledge of insurance carriers and managed care plans
- Epic experience
- Cross‑training capability
- Works independently with good judgment and accountability
- Collaborates well with health care providers
- Strong organizational & time management skills
- Multi‑tasking and prioritizing to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication; conveys information clearly and concisely
