Senior Accountant

Cash flow does not forecast itself, which is why Cleveland Clinic is adding a Senior Accountant to the Syracuse team. The proposition holds together — $78,000 - $120,000, 7 years, a NY base, and ownership the rest of the market rarely grants.

• Read covenant terms closely enough to keep the lender calm
• Carry the senior budget reforecast through three rounds of leadership review
• Reconcile payroll liabilities so the NY filings never bounce
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Assist with quarterly investor reporting and calmly-fast-moving financial narratives
• Catch the misclassified entry three months before the auditor would
• Implement and document internal controls to safeguard company assets

• Solid understanding of finance best practices and industry standards
• Demonstrated ability to teach what you know to someone greener
• An eye for the ownership-driven detail that separates fine from finished
• The patience to mentor without taking over the keyboard
• A Cleveland Clinic mindset: scrappy today, scalable tomorrow

Our team at Cleveland Clinic is slow-to-anger, collaborative, and proud to call Syracuse, NY home. Our Syracuse office prizes the quiet contributor who makes everyone around them measurably better.

The bottom line: $78,000 - $120,000, mentorship, benefits, and flexibility, wrapped into a Senior Accountant role that grows as fast as you do.

Bring 5 of grit or a fresh perspective; either way, this Senior Accountant role wants you.
