Childcare Program Staff – Before & After School Program (2025‑2026 School Year)
JOB STATUS: Part‑time, non‑exempt
LOCATION: Rockwell Elementary School, Nedrow, NY
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Childcare Program Staff
PAY: $15.50 per hour
HOURS: 6:30 – 8:30 am and 2:30 – 6:00 pm
Responsibilities- Facilitate hands‑on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework assistance.
- Provide a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
- Report to the program and be ready to work at designated times, staying until the last child leaves.
- Communicate daily with parents and family members via the Playground App.
- Observe and follow state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
- Perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing, if assigned to a management‑level position.
- 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferably 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
- Medically cleared of any communicable diseases, including TB.
- Warm, friendly, upbeat, with exceptional people skills, professionalism, reliability, and promptness.
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and keep up with the children.
