We are seeking a Construction Site Superintendent / Construction Manager to lead heavy highway projects across New York and New Jersey. This role is central to ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in strict compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Take ownership of daily site operations and productivity goals.
• Establish strong working relationships with foremen, crews, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Drive proactive scheduling and risk management to keep projects moving on track.

• Oversee all daily site operations, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and safety standards.
• Lead foremen and crews with clear communication, daily meetings, and productivity oversight.
• Develop weekly and monthly look-ahead schedules to anticipate challenges.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, traffic control, and project engineers.
• Manage equipment, materials, and project documentation using construction management software.
• Interpret blueprints and apply NYSDOT standards to guide work.
• Conduct toolbox talks, site inspections, and enforce OSHA regulations to maintain a safe workplace.

Must-Haves:

• Proven experience as a Superintendent or Construction Manager in heavy highway or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and NYSDOT specifications.
• Strong computer and project scheduling skills.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing crews and subcontractors.
• Commitment to OSHA safety compliance and a safety-first mindset.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with budgeting and financial management.
• OSHA 30, PMP, or other construction management/safety certifications.
• Experience with multi-million-dollar highway/bridge projects.
