Senior Safety Manager JK

A leading general contractor is looking to hire a Senior Safety Manager for a large-scale project near Syracuse, NY. You will be responsible for leading the safety program and team at a site level to ensure a leading safety culture across the project. • Undertake job site inspections, accident investigations and audits as deemed necessary - putting forward corrective actions to continually develop the safety program and culture
• Work in partnership with the Safety Director in highlighting key safety metrics/trends on the jobsite, which will be reported back to senior leadership
• Lead and manage a team of safety professionals working on the project
• Conduct new hire-orientation and implement training programs in compliance with all OSHA requirements
• Engage with all operational leadership, job-site teams, sub-contractors and the client in regards to safety related matters - acting as the SME for any issues that may arise

• A minimum of 8-10 years proven experience managing safety on major construction projects:
  Advanced Manufacturing Projects, Semiconductor, Data Centers etc.
  
  - Required
• Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Quality or related discipline (preferred)
• BCSP Certification: CSP or CHST (preferred)
• A strong communicator who can engage with both key internal and external stakeholders
• Based near Syracuse, NY and happy to travel to the job-site daily (Relocation Assistance will be provided)
