ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand TM and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those that are looking for a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand TM you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via our myTime mobile scheduling app) that work best with your schedule. Regular attendance is necessary and we require your active engagement by picking up and working shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours).

You must respond to our attempts to contact you to confirm your interest in working shifts  we do not respond, your employment may be administratively terminated. Effective December 2024, you must work at least one shift within 5 months or you will be administratively terminated.

Your communication and ability to work when our business demands it most are essential to success in this role. If offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule. After that, the myTime scheduling app is used to pick up shifts you desire to work.

Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction and recovery. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and loyalty. Deliver service at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up with high quality.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
• Observe cues to determine whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact; tailor your approach
• Engage with guests to understand their specific needs
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve issues and improve the guest experience
• Thank guests for shopping at Target
• Scan and bag items efficiently and in accordance with safety standards and best practices
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining accuracy
• Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
• Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment; direct guests to utilize fulfillment services
• Explain how to use Wallet and other Target App features
• Handle returns by following prompts and partnering with Leaders as needed
• De-escalate negative situations and recover the guest shopping experience per policy
• Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and address hazards
• Support guest services such as order pickup, Drive-Up orders and related duties in compliance with laws
• Support cash office processes as needed
• All other duties based on business needs
