Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Construction Superintendent to lead the field execution of architectural scopes on fast‑paced data center construction projects. This role is responsible for managing the installation of building envelopes, interior finishes, raised floors, clean rooms, ceilings, doors/hardware, and architectural details, ensuring compliance with specifications, schedule, and safety standards.

The ideal candidate brings deep field experience in managing high‑end architectural scopes within mission‑critical or technically complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

Field Supervision & Execution

  • Direct daily activities of subcontractors responsible for architectural systems, including building envelope (walls, windows, doors, roofing), drywall, painting, ceilings, raised access flooring, doors, frames, hardware, and cleanroom/co‑controlled‑environment finishes.
  • Ensure all installations align with design intent, code requirements, and project specifications.
  • Maintain a consistent field presence to monitor safety, quality, and productivity.

Coordination & Scheduling

  • Develop and manage 3‑week lookahead schedules for architectural trades.
  • Coordinate architectural scopes with structural and MEP systems to prevent conflicts and ensure seamless integration.
  • Support MEP access and in‑wall/in‑ceiling inspections prior to enclosure or finish installation.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Perform routine field inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and QA/QC protocols.
  • Ensure tolerances, finishes, alignments, and transitions meet architectural standards and owner expectations.
  • Coordinate with quality, design, and commissioning teams to address punch items and maintain clean turnover zones.

Safety & Site Leadership

  • Enforce jobsite safety practices among subcontractors working on finishes, working at height, and in enclosed spaces.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure compliance with all project safety procedures, including dust mitigation and cleanliness in operational environments.
  • Support protection of completed finishes during ongoing construction activity.

Documentation & Communication

  • Maintain daily logs of manpower, progress, inspections, and issues.
  • Coordinate RFIs and field changes with engineering, document control, and design teams.
  • Participate in OAC and subcontractor coordination meetings to represent the architectural field scope.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in commercial or industrial construction with a focus on architectural trades.
  • Proven experience managing architectural scopes on data centers, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other mission‑critical projects or larger industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of commercial finishes, building envelopes, cleanroom protocols, and controlled‑access construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, finish schedules, and construction specifications.
  • Familiarity with sequencing of architectural trades within the broader construction lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam, ACC, or other construction field management tools.
  • Experience with BIM coordination and integration of architectural elements into 3D models.
  • LEED knowledge or experience on sustainable/high‑performance buildings is a plus.
Personal Attributes
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with a detail‑oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to coordinate across disciplines and field crews.
  • Able to maintain high standards of finish in high‑pressure, schedule‑driven environments.
  • Commitment to safety, professionalism, and team collaboration.
