Job SummaryThe role primarily focuses on resident education and clinical oversight. The provider will conduct eight clinical sessions per week, supervising and precepting resident physicians in adult patient care, rather than maintaining an individual patient panel. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality, evidence-based clinical care, ensuring patient care meets current standards, and providing instruction to medical students, graduate students, and house staff in the Colleges of Medicine and Graduate Studies.
Additional duties involve active engagement in scholarly research with a record of publication, offering research training to students, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. The provider is expected to contribute to the university's mission by participating in hospital and departmental governance, curriculum development, academic administration, and Medical Service Group meetings.
Minimum Qualifications- MD or foreign equivalent
- NYS license or eligible
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Experience with general medicine patients in an academic healthcare setting (preferred)
Monday through Friday, daytime hours
Salary Range/Pay RateDependent on qualifications (DOQ)
