Graphics Adjunct

Onondaga Community College, located in Syracuse, NY, is a college of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and one of 30 locally sponsored community colleges throughout New York State. Onondaga County is our sponsor. We offer two-year degree programs that serve as transfer opportunities to baccalaureate degree programs at four-year campuses or for direct entry to the workforce. We also offer certificate programs that can generally be completed in one year.

The Art & Architecture Department is seeking adjunct instructors for Spring 2026.

• Master's degree in art with a concentration in graphic design from a regionally accredited college or university is preferred; candidates with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and substantial professional web design experience are encouraged to apply.
• 3 years of experience in the field.

• Ideal candidates will be designers specializing in web and interactive design with professional experience.
• Thorough proficiencies with current industry standard software programs, languages and web standards are required.
• The college seeks educators who have experience working with students from widely diverse backgrounds.
• Prior college teaching experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and another language will be considered.

• The ability to encourage student success is essential to teaching at Onondaga Community College.

• Adjunct rate of pay for the 25/26 academic year is $1,483/credit hour. Classes will be assigned on an as needed basis dependent upon enrollment.
• Adjuncts are eligible to participate in the NYS Teacher's Retirement System.
