Onondaga Community College, located in Syracuse, NY, is a college of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and one of 30 locally sponsored community colleges throughout New York State. Onondaga County is our sponsor. We offer two-year degree programs that serve as transfer opportunities to baccalaureate degree programs at four-year campuses or for direct entry to the workforce. We also offer certificate programs that can generally be completed in one year.

The Art Program within the school of Art, Communications, Media and Music invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach courses in Photography as part of the Art degree.
Classes are conducted as 3‑hour studios that meet once a week or 1‑hour 25‑minute studios that meet twice a week. Morning and daytime availability are highly desirable.
RequirementsMinimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Art with a concentration in photography from a regionally accredited college, university or foreign equivalency; or Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts degree and experience in the subject area of drawing or painting.
- Ideal candidates will have professional experience working in drawing or painting.
- The college seeks educators who have experience working with students from widely diverse backgrounds.
- Prior college teaching experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and another language will be considered.
- The ability to encourage student success is essential to teaching at Onondaga Community College.
- Adjunct rate of pay for the 25/26 academic year is $1,483/credit hour. Classes will be assigned on an as needed basis dependent upon enrollment.
- Adjuncts are eligible to participate in the NYS Teacher's Retirement System.
