What You’ll Do As a Highway Design Engineer- Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage highway design projects, including drainage, alignments, and related tasks.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive design plans, detailed specifications, technical reports, and accurate cost estimates.
- Ensure designs adhere to state and local standards, regulations and safety codes.
- Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, subconsultants and agencies to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Proactively support project managers with schedules, documentation, and presentations.
- Assist with field inspections and data collection for roadway projects.

Salary Range: $83,000‑98,000
Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. The salary range is not necessarily reflective of the actual total compensation that may be earned nor promises any specific pay for any specific employee. Salary range excludes monetary value of benefits.
Requirements- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, Master’s preferred
- 5‑10 years of transportation experience Highway Design Engineering experience preferred
- EIT required
- Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it
- Proficiency in Micro Station, STAAD, Open Roads, and Bridge Design Software preferred
- Familiarity with state DOT design standards (NYSDOT or PennDOT preferred)
