Youwill join our Electrical Engineering Department
As our new Electrical Designer you will be part of an electrical team that has grown into a cohesive and sought‑after resource for our internal and external clients. While you will be assigned to your office of choice, you will engage and interact with electrical professionals from multiple locations, as well as engineers from multiple disciplines. This will be a true team environment!
Keytasks and responsibilities
- Creates Electrical designs in Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Prepare CAD/Revit floor plans showing electrical device layouts, circuitry, fixtures, equipment, etc.
- Prepare one‑line diagrams with input from Engineers.
- Calculate electrical loads and develop panel schedules.
- Coordinate device locations, loads, and circuitry with other disciplines.
- Layout fire alarm devices on floor plans with input from Engineers.
- Prepare lighting calculations and energy code compliance calculations.
- Layout lighting fixtures on plans and demonstrate fundamental knowledge of lighting concepts.
- Develop and maintain a general knowledge of the National Electrical Code, NFPA Codes and other codes.
- Edit electrical specifications with input from Engineers.

- An Associate's Degree in engineering technology, science, math, architecture, computing, technical drafting, or other relevant technical curriculum and 3+ years of qualifying engineering experience in electrical design of municipal and industrial projects using Autodesk AutoCAD MEP and Autodesk REVIT
- Proficient knowledge in AutoCAD and Revit (preferred).
- Experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams)
- Excellent working knowledge of electrical design in the realm of commercial, educational, multi‑family, and light industrial projects
- Experience with lighting design software AGI
32 or similar software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently
- Self‑motivated, reliable individual that thrives on doing a job well
- Demonstrate independence, initiative, and desire to achieve results
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in maintaining long‑term internal client relationships
- Able to work with multi‑disciplined engineering teams
- Ability to communicate effectively with people through oral and written communications
