The selected candidate will contribute to the design, development, and integration of advanced electronic systems that support national security missions. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment and is motivated by solving complex technical challenges with real-world impact. What You Will Do
* Design, develop, and test electronic circuits, subsystems, and components for defense applications, including communications, radar, sensing, and embedded systems.
* Perform schematic capture, PCB layout review, component selection, and system-level integration.
* Conduct simulations, modeling, and analysis to validate performance, reliability, and compliance with military standards.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams-systems engineering, software, mechanical, and manufacturing-to ensure seamless integration of electronic hardware.
* Support prototype development, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis during testing and field evaluations.
* Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and compliance reports.
* Ensure all designs meet rigorous security, safety, and environmental requirements (e.g., MIL-STD, EMI/EMC, environmental hardening).
* Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We Are Looking For :

Minimum Qualifications
* 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
* Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, embedded systems, and signal processing.
* Experience with tools such as Altium, SPICE, MATLAB, OrCAD, or similar.
* Familiarity with military standards, ruggedized electronics, or secure system design.
* Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers).
* Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams. Preferred:

* Experience in RF systems, high-speed digital design, or power electronics.
* Background in defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries.
* Knowledge of embedded firmware or FPGA development.
* Understanding of cybersecurity principles as applied to hardware systems.
