Principal Power Engineer; Part-Time, Temporary

SRC, Inc is currently seeking a Principal Power Engineer (Part-Time, Temporary) who will perform a wide variety of design and development tasks related to the architecture of high power systems. This is a part-time position (approximately 25 hours per week) for a duration of six to twelve months.

• Develop and implement 3-phase high power conditioning/distribution systems
• Determine proper techniques to address voltage transformation and DC power generation with considerations for load balancing

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 12 or more years of relevant experience
• Experience with powering dynamic loads having high in-rush currents, abrupt power draw shedding, and pulsed power demand generating harmonic artifacts
• An active Secret clearance is required

• Familiar with design of ground mobile equipment, engineering for harsh environments, and to military standards

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $75.67 to $95.42/hour.
