Systems Engineer, Electrical Engineering
Location: City of Syracuse
Our client, a leader in critical infrastructure support, is seeking an Engineer II-US to join their team. As an Engineer II-US, you will be part of the Critical National Infrastructure department supporting the operation and maintenance of essential electrical systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

What’s the Job?- Maintain control system databases that model electric system topology
- Coordinate with field personnel to update SCADA databases and commission field equipment
- Provide daily support for EMS operations, responding effectively to control room and field needs
- Support troubleshooting efforts for data and display discrepancies impacting operations
- Collaborate with multiple teams to prioritize and complete deadline-driven tasks
- Degree in Electric Engineering Technology, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits and diagrams
- Experience with relational database packages such as Oracle, SQL, or Postgres is highly desired
- Experience with control systems like Hitachi/ABB, GE, or OSI is a plus
