The Plumbing Engineer serves as the lead plumbing engineer on projects from concept through construction administration. The role involves developing plumbing designs and construction documents, coordinating design tasks with junior engineers when appropriate, and supporting projects through construction. The Plumbing Engineer also reviews shop drawings, responds to RFIs, and works directly with contractors in the field to address construction issues and support successful project execution.
Essential Functions:- Leaddesigndiscussionsandcarrydesignconceptthroughtoprojectdrawings.
- Designplumbingsystemsforconstructiondrawingsthatincludeplumbingfloorplans,riserdiagrams,details,schedules,and sections.
- Performsplumbingrelatedcalculations.
- Coordinateswithotherengineeringandarchitecturaltradesduringdesign
- Participates in developing project details, equipment schedules, and specifications.
- Contributestosustainabledesigndiscussionsandimplementssustainablestrategiesasappropriatetotheprojectscope.
- Administers construction administration for plumbing scope items, including conformance to contract documents and solves problems
- Respondstoprojectquestionsandconcernsinatimelyandthoroughmanner.
- Researchandassessapplicableprojectcodesandotherregulations.
Conductotherimportantengineeringresearchasnecessary.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Well-versed in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
