Pulmonary Function Lab Technician

Job Summary:

The Pulmonary Function Lab Technician will perform all PFT testing according to ATS guidelines in all PFT locations (Pediatric and Adult). Responsibilities include inpatient, outpatient, and remote PFT testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintaining quality assurance records. The technician will administer positive pressure and aerosol therapy to patients, monitor oxygen therapy, assist physicians with continuous ventilation, perform pulmonary function tests, radial arterial punctures, and administer CPR as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed Respiratory Therapist required. A.A.S. in Respiratory Therapy with 3 years of post-A.A.S. experience or pulmonary function testing experience required. CPR BLS Certified is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care, experience in PFT testing, and Registered Pulmonary Function Technology Certification are preferred.

Work Days:
Variable days and shifts.
