Job Summary
Upstate Pediatric ER
Key Responsibilities
- Provide developmental and psychosocial support for pediatric patients and families.
- Assess children's developmental and coping needs.
- Provide preparation, age-appropriate diversion, and emotional support to minimize distress associated with hospitalization and/or medical encounters.
- Collaborate as a member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development, Psychology, or related field.
- Must have completed a Child Life Internship under the supervision of a Certified Child Life Specialist.
- Current Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) credential required or ability to obtain certification within one year of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree preferred.
Work Days
4-10 Hour Shifts with rotating weekends.
