Location: City of Syracuse

Job Summary:

To coordinate daily work flow and scheduling activity of the Diagnostic Radiology Department. Provides technical directions and guidance to personnel within work team. May be required to assume charge duties in absence of Assistant Director. Provides input to management for budget preparation and capital equipment recommendations. Performs other related duties as assigned by authorized personnel or as may be required to meet emergencies.

Complies with all quality assurance, customer focus, infection control, safety and all policies and procedures with the department. Willingly performs other duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license/registration and ARRT (must obtain within 1 year of appointment), one year experience as a radiologic technologist, plus current CPR certification required.
  • Candidates who possess an A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license or eligible, and no experience will be considered for appointment to an entry level (SL1) position. ARRT (must obtain within 1 year of appointment) preferred. CPR certification required at the time of appointment.
  • Needs a Limited Permit by time of appointment if NYS License/Registration hasn't be obtained yet.

Work Days:

Primary shift Monday-Friday 3pm-11:30pm. Rotational weekends and holidays are required. On-call may be required.
