Experience:
3-5 years as an anesthesia technologist License:
Graduate of an accredited Anesthesia Technology program
Certifications:
National certification as an Anesthesia Technologist, CPR/BLS certification Must-Have:
Knowledge of reprocessing methods, aseptic and sterile techniques
Experience with acute cardiac cases
Experience with central lines, arterial lines, and other invasive procedures Experience in a Level 1 trauma center preferred Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance
Description:
The Anesthesia Technologist will work in all locations where general anesthesia is provided. The role includes performing room turns and preparing rooms for cases, including invasive procedures. The technologist will troubleshoot different makes and models of anesthesia machines. Assisting with invasive procedures, arterial line placement, central venous catheter placement, and thermo dilution catheter placement is expected. Knowledge of infection control practices related to anesthesiology equipment and supplies is required.
Ordering supplies and restocking rooms and carts as directed is also a responsibility. Candidates should possess consistent experience within a Level 1 trauma center.
