Job Description

About the Role:We are seeking a Cloud Architect to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level cloud infrastructure solutions that align with organizational goals and IT strategy. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), a strategic mindset, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams through complex, large-scale technology initiatives.

The ideal candidate is both hands-on and visionarycapable of translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that meet the evolving needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:Cloud Strategy & Architecture

• Collaborate with leadership to align Oracle Cloud solutions with enterprise goals and technology roadmaps.
• Assess existing IT infrastructure and develop migration strategies to Oracle Cloud.
• Define and implement architecture frameworks focused on scalability, performance, compliance, and cost optimization.
• Lead design and execution of disaster recovery and high-availability solutions using Oracle Cloud native tools.

Implementation & Operations

• Manage cloud patches, upgrades, and infrastructure events in coordination with IT teams.
• Provide production support, including verification and testing of backup and recovery processes.
• Monitor and optimize Oracle Cloud applications and infrastructure performance.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure a seamless end-user experience.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Partner with database, application, and network/security teams to ensure smooth system integration.
• Support implementation of Oracle Cloud Manager and other OCI-based enterprise tools.
• Serve as the primary technical authority for Oracle Cloud issues and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, policies, and best practices.

Innovation & Enablement

• Lead migration of legacy systems and applications to Oracle Cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct workshops and training to build internal cloud knowledge and readiness.
• Stay current with Oracle Cloud advancements to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

• 3+ years in a Database Administrator or Cloud Engineer role.
• Proven expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and related services.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments, databases, and data management.

Technical

Skills:

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Cloud Manager, backup/recovery, performance tuning, and migration tools.
• Familiarity with enterprise ERP environments (People Soft or Oracle Cloud Applications preferred).
• Solid understanding of IT governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

Soft Skills:

• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Strategic thinker with hands-on technical execution capabilities.
