Overview
Job Summary:
- Perform tick identification, RNA extraction, and multiplex RT-PCR pathogen testing.
- Analyze Citizen Science tick surveillance and other tick testing data: i) Impact of climate change on tick and pathogen emergence; ii) Spatio-temporal changes in tick populations and pathogen prevalence; iii) Ecological and environmental impact on tick and pathogen emergence.
- As needed, help with tick collection at field sites.
- Assist in developing public/social media/website messaging content [video/audio/text] for the Citizen Science Tick surveillance program.
- Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Biological sciences or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Days: M-F generally 9-5.
