The Director of Global Supply Chain Management will lead global sourcing and procurement strategies across a diverse international footprint. Reporting to the VP of Global Manufacturing Operations, this role will drive cost efficiency, supplier diversification, and delivery excellence, while unifying regional supply chains into a cohesive, standardized global function. The Director will focus on developing and executing sourcing strategies that reduce dependency on single-source suppliers, particularly from China, and strengthen supplier networks in key regions for electrical and telecommunications products.

This position requires a deep understanding of global procurement, supplier management, and industry-specific challenges, including compliance requirements and supply chain risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead global Sourcing and Procurement teams to ensure a reliable, diverse supply of materials and products across all regions.
  • Develop and execute a global sourcing strategy focused on supplier diversification
    , reducing reliance on single-source suppliers (especially from China) for electrical and telecom components.
  • Negotiate global contracts that emphasize favorable terms, risk mitigation, cost control, and supplier development.
  • Oversee supplier relationship management, ensuring supplier reliability, performance, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Integrate regional operations into a standardized global supply chain structure, promoting efficiency and transparency across regions.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supplier performance, sourcing cost reduction, and supplier lead times.
  • Collaborate with regional and functional teams to ensure seamless integration of sourcing with other supply chain functions, including production and logistics.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as NIST 800-161 and NIST 800-53 in global sourcing activities, especially for federal business initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performance sourcing team capable of executing complex, global sourcing strategies.
  • Drive sourcing innovation by modernizing systems, improving sourcing processes, and integrating advanced tools like supplier portals and ERP enhancements (SAP preferred).
Nice to Have
  • Experience in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), with a focus on aligning sourcing strategies to forecasted demand and production schedules.
  • Experience with demand planning to ensure that procurement and sourcing strategies align with forecasted needs.
  • Knowledge of demand variability management and inventory control processes to align with sourcing initiatives.
Qualifications
  • 12–15 years of progressive experience in global sourcing and procurement
    .
  • Proven experience managing global supply chains for electrical and/or telecommunications products.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Preferred certifications:
    CSCP
    , CPSM
    , CPIM
    ; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
    .
  • Strong contract negotiation skills, with a focus on supplier development, cost control, and risk management.
  • High proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred), data analysis, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead global teams and execute strategic sourcing initiatives.
