About the Role (job title and summary):

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, safety, and overall functionality of company facilities. We are looking for a true self-starter who takes complete ownership of facility operations and is comfortable being the sole facility professional on site. This person must be hands-on, highly organized, resourceful, and proactive. They will own the preventive maintenance (PM) program and CMMS, manage work orders and asset records, oversee the facilities staff, source parts and competitive quotes, coordinate and oversee outside vendors, and ensure maintenance activities stay within budget.

Most importantly, this individual needs to anticipate problems rather than simply react to them!

This role involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance issues, as well as coordinating with contractors when necessary. In addition to hands-on repair work, the supervisor maintains accurate records, follows scheduled maintenance plans, and supports compliance efforts, all while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and attention to detail.

How you’ll make a difference (required duties and responsibilities):

Maintenance Responsibilities Oversee daily facility operations to ensure buildings, equipment, and systems operate efficiently.

Coordinate routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.

Monitor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and other building systems, as applicable.
· Complies with NY regulations, building codes and safety standards for all maintenance and repairs.

Identify maintenance issues and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.

Maintain facility cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance.

Respond to facility-related emergencies on timely basis with effective and appropriate resolutions.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.

Partner with Facility Director & HR for talent selection, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations concerns and talent development of facilities technicians.

Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Perform minor repairs independently and assist with major repairs including coordinating with external contractors as needed.

Collaborates with external suppliers on approved major repairs, renovation and/or new construction projects
