This architectural Firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of K–12 public school projects across New York State
, from early planning through construction closeout. This is a high‑visibility leadership role for someone who enjoys guiding teams, managing stakeholders, and delivering complex institutional work with clarity, consistency, and pride.
You’ll collaborate closely with the Principal‑in‑Charge
, Project Architect
, internal design teams, and consultants to drive project performance—balancing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction
—while helping shape strong, sustainable learning environments for NY communities.
- Lead project delivery from inception through closeout, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and client goals
- Define scope, track deliverables, and coordinate integrated project planning
- Serve as a primary point of contact for district stakeholders
, administrators, and project partners - Lead and document project meetings; provide consistent updates on progress, decisions, and challenges
- Oversee the quality and organization of design and documentation from concept through CDs
- Ensure integration of NYS codes, NYSED/SED requirements
, and project‑specific regulatory needs - Manage QA/QC processes and maintain high documentation standards
- Coordinate closely with the Project Architect and technical leads to ensure accuracy and clarity
- Mentor and develop staff at all levels—supporting growth, performance, and accountability
- Contribute to improving firmwide PM tools, processes, and standards
- Represent professionalism, strengthening long‑term client relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- 10+ years of project management experience, including substantial K–12 or institutional work
- Strong ability to lead complex conversations with clients, consultants, and internal teams
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and team development skills
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, schedules, staffing, and documentation quality
- Must be located within driving distance of New York State projects
