Job Overview
The Aseptic Packaging Operator plays a key role in executing assigned production tasks. This includes setting up, operating, cleaning, and troubleshooting production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate aseptic packaging machinery to form, sterilize, fill, and seal sterile containers such as Tetra Pak cartons, pouches, or bottles with dairy products while maintaining sterile conditions throughout the entire packaging process to prevent contamination.
- Set up and configure packaging equipment by loading packaging materials, adjusting machine parameters for different container sizes and product types, and ensuring proper alignment of forming, filling, and sealing stations before initiating production runs.
- Monitor packaging line performance including container formation quality, seal integrity, print registration, and fill accuracy while making real-time adjustments to maintain optimal packaging standards and minimize product waste or defects.
- Perform hydrogen peroxide sterilization procedures on packaging materials and equipment surfaces, verify sterilant concentration levels, and ensure proper ventilation and neutralization of chemical sterilant according to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished packaged products including checking for proper sealing, accurate labeling, correct fill volumes, and package integrity while removing defective products from the production line and documenting quality control findings.
- Execute routine cleaning and maintenance tasks including replacing packaging material rolls, cleaning product contact surfaces, calibrating sensors and filling heads, and performing preventive maintenance procedures to ensure consistent packaging line operation and food safety compliance.
Min. Qualifications
- A minimum of GED or High School Diploma is required.
- 0-1 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
