Position Overview

The Lead Coating Machine Operator plays a key role in our production team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining a water based coating machine in order to produce adhesive coated laminated and linerless roll products.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate coating machines following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, and pressures to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
• Weigh and prepare coating solutions according to coating formulas.
• Test coat weights and functional properties to ensure product quality.
• Load raw materials and unload finished product efficiently.
• Make machine adjustments as needed (speed, temperature, pressure tolerances).
• Follow job orders to set up rollers, dies, stencils, and other components.
• Clean and lubricate equipment to maintain optimal performance.
• Document production records, monitor performance, and communicate any issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support team and production goals.

Qualifications

• Technical certification or Associate’s Degree in printing processes preferred.
• Prior coating or flexographic printing experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform bending and lifting throughout shift.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Pay Range: $20.00–$27.00 per hour total compensation with shift differential and rate isdependenton experience.
