Machine Operator and Assembler
Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator and Assembler. Core hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Hourly rate: $19.80 per hour.

What You’ll Do- Plan and perform setups, fabrication and machining operations on various machine shop equipment including single and multiple spindle drill presses; vertical milling machines, wire cutting, stripping and lug nut machines.
- Use hand, pneumatic and power tools to assemble, gauge, wire, check and pack a wide variety of components for explosion proof products.
- Select tools, feeds and speeds according to type of material and finish requirements; use necessary machine attachments.
- Square up and layout production run or special castings for machining operations using available jigs and fixtures.
- Work with close tolerances on a variety of metals such as steel, brass, bronze, iron and aluminum.
- Replace drilling tools and grind drills as necessary.
- Assemble using bolts, screws, nuts, washers; file and remove burrs; apply grease to screw threads; tighten bolts on cover; assemble nameplates to covers; assemble switches or breakers.
- Pack, label, and seal products as prescribed.
- Minimum one (1) year previous work experience in machine operation.
- Minimum one (1) year previous assembly experience.
- No relocation benefit is offered. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Syracuse (50 miles) will be considered.
