This cnc programmer role combines advanced cam programming with hands-on shop-floor support to help drive quality, efficiency, and first-piece success. Qualifications and responsibilities for this cnc programmers and machinists position include: 4+ years of cnc programming experience (mastercam required).

Creates medium to high complexity cnc milling programs using 3+ axis cam software, with strong offline work and accurate simulation. Programs and supports machining processes including downloading programs to cnc controls and assisting with initial setup/prove-out and first-piece approval. Diagnoses, analyzes, and troubleshoots cnc programs and machining issues. Reviews engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring compatibility with manufacturing capabilities and recommending revisions to improve productivity.

Reprocesses and/or modifies existing programs to increase efficiency and productivity. Works with quality on a robust cmm/manual inspection process and supports tooling/gauging documentation. Spends significant time on the shop floor supporting machinists, including walking between the programming workstation and the manufacturing floor. Salary: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
