1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed - Eastwood, NY Area (MD - LA)

A 23 year old Male in the Eastwood area is looking for a DSP to assist him with organizational skill related to school, increasing his self advocacy and communication skills.

He enjoys going to the library to work on his college assignments. He needs assistance with staying on top of due dates, completing assignments by deadlines, and preparing for exams. He would like help organizing class syllabuses, help with time management, and help staying focused on the task  would also like encouragement to ask his college professors for help and setting up time for office hours.

The ideal candidate is helpful, able to sit for long periods, engaging, and patient. The ideal candidate must have good organizational skills, a need to help, good at time management, and good at communication.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.

930am-1230pm Monday and Wednesdays, and Sunday 10-2pm. Looking more for during the week for another DSP.

Starting pay is $18.50/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.

Eastwood, NY

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in the person's home and/or community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
• No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
