Nurse Anesthetist/CRNA, Advanced Practice Nurse/APRN, Healthcare Nursing, Emergency Medicine
St. Josephs Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our dynamic anesthesia team. The CRNA will be responsible for administering anesthesia, monitoring patients' vital signs, and overseeing patient recovery from anesthesia. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of autonomy, clinical expertise, and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care. Shifts vary 8, 10, and 12 hour.
Key Responsibilities Pre-Anesthetic Assessment- Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic evaluations, including patient history, physical examination, and review of diagnostic data.
- Develop and discuss anesthesia care plans with the anesthesia team and patients.
- Administer a variety of anesthetics, including general, regional, and local anesthesia, in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor patients during surgery and other medical procedures, adjusting anesthetic levels as necessary.
- Manage and monitor patients' airways, ensuring proper ventilation and oxygenation.
- Continuously monitor patients vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, initiating appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide post-anesthesia care, including pain management and monitoring of patients as they recover from anesthesia.
- Ensure patients' safe transition from the operating room to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) or other recovery settings.
- Provide education to patients and families on post-operative care and recovery.
- Accurately document all aspects of anesthesia care, including pre-anesthetic evaluation, anesthetic administration, intraoperative management, and post-anesthetic care.
- Maintain detailed records of anesthesia-related procedures, medications, and patient responses.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and institutional regulations and guidelines related to anesthesia practice.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with best practices and emerging trends in anesthesia care.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety within the healthcare setting.
Education: Masters or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program.
Certification: Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
Licensure: Active RN and APRN licensure in the state of New York.
Required Experience: Experience in anesthesia care across a variety of surgical and procedural settings.

$265,000- $ 285,000. The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. Please note the salary range is provided in accordance with state law and is subject to variation due to the factors notes above.
