Job Summary

Upstate University Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for adult Medical‑Surgical / Telemetry (MS/Tele) units. This is a 13‑week day shift contract with a 3x12‑hour schedule (07:00–19:00) and every‑other‑weekend requirement. Candidates must have acute care experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma facilities and be proficient with EPIC charting.

• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical‑surgical and telemetry patients
• Perform nursing assessments and manage patient care independently
• Start IVs, draw labs, and administer IV therapy
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and escalate changes appropriately
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Follow hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards

• Active New York State RN licence (must be in hand; NY is not a compact state)
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care MS/Tele experience
• Experience in large hospitals or trauma centres (Level 1 or 2 preferred)
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• IV therapy and lab draw skills required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Ability to work day shifts and every-other-weekends
