Unit Overview

• Pediatric Surgical Inpatient Unit

• Caring for pediatric patients in an acute surgical setting

• EPIC charting system preferred
Qualifications

• Active New York RN License

• BLS (required) – must be current or eligible for recertification

• 2 years of recent experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center

• Experience in a hospital of comparable size and acuity

• EPIC experience preferred

• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within past 2 years)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required

• Must meet compliance: legal right to work in the U.S., pass pre-employment health clearance, background check, and drug screening

• No prior suspension/investigation of professional license or active liability claims
Duties

• Provide comprehensive pediatric nursing care with minimal orientation and supervision

• Perform nursing assessments in a high-acuity pediatric setting

• Deliver safe, evidence-based care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
