Scope:
Responsible for performing Final External Visual Inspection operations on Hybrid Microelectronic units to plant, customer, and regulatory specifications.
- 1. Develop a solid working knowledge of the Quality requirements associated with the inspection of microelectronic components and Microelectronic units as defined by customer/industry standards such as MIL-PRF-38534, Mil-Std-883, IPC/J-Std, etc. to determine the following:
Determine product acceptability using visual/mechanical inspection and drawings/procedures. Document nonconformance issues per plant standards and maintain quality records. Perform inspections using various mechanical and electrical measuring devices and techniques. Provide cross-functional support to engineering groups when manufacturing deviations arise - 2. Ensure final products are fully compliant immediately prior to customer shipment:
Send parts for required external laboratory testing and maintain associated quality records Verify quality records compliance per customer requirements within scheduled dates Ensure compliance to customer and industry external visual requirements Develop effective controls/solutions to improve product quality (rework, scrap, warranty escapes) - 3. Provide a Quality presence on the Manufacturing floor by executing the following:
Ensure all Customer/Company procedures are being followed as written. Comply with and support company policies and programs regarding safety, security, ISO, OSHA and the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct. Notify and elevate to appropriate parties when quality issues arise. Ensure all work is done to plant/documented standards.
4. Maintain a willingness to challenge established ways of doing things in a constructive way.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 1. Ability to gain a working knowledge of microelectronic product requirements (MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-STD-883, drawings, procedures); ability to apply knowledge to microelectronic manufacturing and inspection operations is essential.
- 2. Ability to understand complex part routing history documentation to determine part compliance.
