Job Summary

Menorah Park is seeking a full-time Cook, variable shift, every other weekend off to provide quality cooking services in our dietary services department. This individual contributor role will be paid an hourly rate of $20.99 to $21.63 and will be located in Syracuse, New York.

$20.99/hr - $21.63/hr

This position offers an hourly rate of $20.99 to $21.63, paid vacation and sick time, health insurance, and other benefits.

• Assist the Kitchen Manager in the preparation of meals.
• Ensure food preparation practices comply with all applicable safety requirements, protocols, and guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and equipment.
• Perform general duties of kitchen organization, sanitation, food safety, and pricing.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure efficient delivery of meals.
• Adhere to established sanitation regulations, food safety procedures, and department rules, policies, and guidelines.

• High school education or equivalent.
• 2+ years cooking experience in a high volume kitchen preferred but not required.
• Food Handler's Certification/Permit preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of proper safety procedures and temperature control.
• Ability to work flexible schedules.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
