Pay Range: $16.25 - $25.00

• Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers.
• Assists with the operation of the Produce department.
• Assists the Produce Manager with budgeting and financial aspects of the department.
• Oversees clerks within the department and monitors proper merchandising, rotation, and inventory levels to promote optimal sales opportunities.
• Ensures all customer orders are processed efficiently and accurately.
• Executes merchandising programs in accordance with merchandising department guidelines.
• Maintains a neat, clean, and organized workstation (5S standards).
• Assists with ordering of merchandise and supplies to meet department standards.
• Rotates and examines perishable product for quality, code, and condition.
• Ensures accurate fulfillment of customer orders and deliveries.
• Enforces company and state sanitation and safety procedures and regulations.
• Assists with training and scheduling of all associates in produce operations.
• Operates various produce equipment (product weight scales, juice and pineapple machines).
• Assumes all of the responsibilities of the Produce Manager as needed.
• Controls shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results.
• High School Degree or equivalent.
• 6-12 months of related experience.
• Strong communication skills and satisfactory performance reviews.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, pivot, squat/kneel, push/pull, and lift as required.

• Exposure to hot environment – occasional 1-3 hours.
• Exposure to cold environment – frequent 3-5 hours.
• Standing – frequent 3-5 hours.
• Walking – constant 5-8 hours.
• Grasping/finger movement & dexterity – constant 5-8 hours.
• Bending – frequent 3-5 hours.
• Twisting – frequent 3-5 hours.
• Pivoting – frequent 3-5 hours.
• Squatting/Kneeling – occasional 1-3 hours.
• Pushing/Pulling – occasional 1-3 hours up to 50 lbs.
• Lifting – frequent 3-5 hours up to 50 lbs, occasional 1-3 hours up to 75 lbs.
