As a Security Officer - Flex Retail Patrol Driver in Johnson City, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as retail and malls. This part‑time driver position allows you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a retail environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure atmosphere for customers and staff.

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies, and respond to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security‑related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, monitoring entrances and exits as required by site procedures.
• Support loss prevention efforts by remaining alert to potential theft or policy violations within the location.
• Work collaboratively with store staff and Allied Universal team members to promote a secure environment for employees, customers, and visitors.

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• All applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• All applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
