Installation Technicians focus on setting up new security, fire, camera, and access systems in residential and commercial environments. You’ll engage directly with customers on a daily basis, making strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.

• Install and configure electronic security, fire, access control, CCTV, intrusion, and network-based intercom systems
• Service and troubleshoot systems to resolve performance issues
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
• Educate customers on system functionality, features, and service needs
• Provide exceptional customer care by answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering helpful solutions
• Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed
• Uphold high standards of safety, workmanship, and customer care

• 3+ years of experience in the alarm industry preferred
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Proficiency with low voltage install, maintenance, and repair of CCTV, intrusion, fire, access control, and intercom systems
• Strong problem‑solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• OSHA 10 and/or NICET certification a plus
• Willingness to work occasional nights/weekends and travel within the Syracuse region

• Ability to drive a company vehicle
• Comfortable working in various environments
