SUMMARY
Warehouse customer service representative responsible for the distribution of building materials (primarily roofing and siding products) to residential and commercial builders and contractors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Working with other employees in a team environment.
- Read work orders / invoices to determine materials needs for customer pick‑up or delivery.
- Moving / lifting heavy materials by hand.
- Operating a forklift to load a customer's vehicle, load an Erie Materials delivery truck, unload a vendor truck, move material in stock, etc.
- Cleaning warehouse area(s) including organization of materials, sweeping warehouse floors and parking lot areas, emptying trash cans, etc.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and / or abilities required.
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSEmployee must have a valid driver's license.

SALARY DESCRIPTION$20.40 to $22.00 per hour
